  • Simply speaking, it means an egg laid by mating a hen and a cock. So it can become a chicken.
  • It is an egg we generally eat. As an unfertilized egg is laid by a hen alone, it cannot become a chicken.
  • Hatchery egg is what fertilized eggs used for breeding. If you think that every fertilized eggs are surely successful in hatching, it is not true. Hatching result is influenced by the conditions of egg.
    For improving conditions of egg, the hen must be healthy.
    Be sure to using the eggs which is laid within one week. It will be fresh in condition.
    You would better to take custody the eggs in 10~16°C of temperature, 75% of humidity, with avoding direct rays of the sun.
  • ☞ Do not choose dirty, malformed or cracked eggs when you buy fertilized eggs. Also, thin egg shell are not to hatching.

    ☞ Polluted eggs with excretions need to be sterilized promptly. If not, it can influence on hatching result.
    But, you would better to avoid polluted eggs for hatching.


  • It is important to purchase fresh fertilized eggs in order to increase success rate of incubation. You can purchase them at a supermarket or a department store. It is desirable to see the date they were laid in order to selecteggs that were laid within a week the older an egg is, the harder it is to hatch. It is also desirable to purchase eggs laid by a hen that is raised along with a cock in the country.
